I’m a software engineer who cares about the details — how a product loads, how it responds, how it feels.

General

I’m Kester, a software engineer with a strong focus on building clean, user-friendly products. My background is in TypeScript and React, and lately I’ve been working more on mobile — designing and building smooth, intuitive app experiences.

I believe any problem can be broken down into bits — to get a proper understanding and simplify the path to solving it. My interests sit at the intersection of engineering and product — building software that feels great to use.

Outside the screen

When I’m off my system, I’m usually listening to music — I was a DJ for a few years before I picked up coding, and I still keep a small studio where I do a bit of tufting. Most of what I make ends up on the wall.

I think most good engineering instincts come from the same place: noticing texture, paying attention to rhythm, and being willing to redo something until it feels right.
